Destination: Chennai - Madurai - Periyar - Kumarakom - Cochin

Day 01 : On your arrival at the Madras airport, Holidaypoints representative would greet you with a grand welcome and would escort you to the hotel to get you checked in. In the afternoon, move out for local sightseeing of Madras city. Overnight at the hotel. Send Quiry



Day 02 :
On the second day of cultural tour of South India, transfer to the airport to board the flight to Madurai, one of the oldest cities of India, with a history dating all the way back to the Sangam period of the pre Christian era. With assistance from the Holidaypoints staff, check in at the hotel. In the evening visit the Meenakshi Temple to attend the "Aarti" ceremony. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 03 :
In the morning post breakfast, Cultural tour of South India drive to Periyar and upon arrival, check in at the hotel. Then proceed to a ride on boat over Lake Periyar, one of the well known wildlife sanctuaries to view the wild life. Also called the Thekkady Wildlife Sanctuary, this place is ideal for watching the animals in their natural habitat. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 04 :
On the 4th day of the South India cultural tour drive to boat landing point from where the hotel's courtesy boat will take passengers to Kumarakom. Kumarakom slumbers on the banks of the famous Vembanad Lake, which is a part of Kuttanad. The entire state of Kerala is blessed with plenty of rivers and the resources of many are still untapped. The waterways of Kerala play a main role in the economy of the state linking remote villages and islands with the main land. Stay overnight at the hotel in Periyar.

Day 05 :
Post breakfast leave for backwater cruise to Alleppey . Later drive to Cochin and check in at the hotel. Proceed to visit mainland Ernakulam, the islands of Willington, Bolgatty and Gundu in the harbour, Fort Cochin and Mattancherry on the southern peninsula, and Vypeen Island north of Fort Cochin, previously linked by ferry but now some islands have bridges.

Day 06 : On the last day of the South India cultural tour, have a delicious breakfast and leave for Cochin airport to board flight for your destination city to take away with you the wonderful memories of the South India holidays trip.
