Day 01 : DELHI
Upon your arrival in Delhi, Holidays Points staff will lodge you in your hotel accommodation on day one of your Mountains and Monasteries Tour. Relax in your hotel room.

Day 02 : DELHI
Proceed for day long sightseeing of Delhi landmarks like India Gate, Rajghat, Qutab Minar, Red Fort, Jama Masjid and Parliament House. Qutab Minar is thousand years old 72 meters high brick minaret. Rajghat is memorial of Mahatma Gandhi. India Gate and President House are built in imperial architecture style. The city also has other attractions like Akshardham temple, lotus temple, Birla Mandir, Humayun’s tomb and Lodhi Gardens.

Day 03 : DELHI - AMRITSAR
Proceed to Amritsar in the morning. Visit the infamous Jalianwala Bagh, the landmark for first war of India’s independence. Jalianwala Bagh has a memorial dedicated to the memory of people who sacrificed their lives in 1857 during the first war of independence of India.

Day 04 : AMRITSAR
Visit the glittering Golden Temple, the most sacred temple of the Sikhs in the world. The temple has gold coating on its dome. Sri Harmandir Sahib is a 67 feet square platform which is built in the centre of a tank. Sikhs from all over the world pay their obeisance at Sri Harmandir Sahib. The temple reflects the unique harmony of Hindu and Muslim architecture. Its Gumbaj (dome) has inverted lotus petals which support the Kalash. Watch the worshipping rituals of Sikhs in the temple.

Day 05 : AMRITSAR - DHARAMSALA
Drive to Dharamsala – home to Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama. Explore its rich forests and surroundings during your monastery tour. The town has several monasteries which depict the beautiful images of Buddha in his various forms. This hill station also provides an awesome view of the Dhauladhar mountain range of the Himalayas.

Day 06 : DHARAMSALA
Visit Tibetan monastery on sixth day of your mountain and monasteries tour, Kotwali Bazaar and Mcleodganj, home to His Holiness –The Dalai Lama. Watch numerous monks paying obeisance to Buddha in their flowing maroon robes. Enjoy momos and butter tea in the local markets. You may also shop for Tibetan exotica in the bazaars.

Day 07 : DHARAMSALA - TARAGARH
Visit Taragarh Palace and explore its surroundings on seventh day of your mountain tour. The palace is beautifully decorated and is a wonderful example of hilly region architecture of India. The scenic beauty around the palace is simply awesome.

Day 08 : TARAGARH
Admire the breathtaking natural scenery of the region. The region is dotted with exotic plant and wild life. The quaint life of this town will give you a spiritual and soothing feeling. Explore the paddy fields and watch locals working in the fields. Visit other monasteries of the region. The hill station has several sites of Buddhists interest.

Day 09 : TARAGARH - PRAGPUR
Drive to Pragpur in the morning and stroll through the cobbled street of this small hamlet. Explore and experience the lifestyle of hill people of the region. Enjoy local cuisines and shop in the colourful bazaars that sell a variety of exotica.

Day 10 : PRAGPUR - SHIMLA

Check in at hotel in Shimla in late afternoon. Relax in your hotel room.

Day 11 : SHIMLA
Spend the day in sightseeing of Shimla on eleventh day of your mountain tour. Shimla is blessed with a variety of natural bounties. It has snow capped peaks and picturesque green pastures. British rulers used to visit Shimla regularly every year during summers. See timbered cottages and shop at the famous Mall Road.

Day 12 : SHIMLA
Continue sightseeing of the city. Explore the cool hills of the city. Its colonial era monuments give an impressive look against the background of curly hill ranges. The city is located at an altitude of about 2200 metres and its weather remains pleasant throughout the year. You may also enjoy skiing on its snow capped peaks. Retire to your hotel accommodation in the evening.

Day 13 : SHIMLA - CHANDIGARGH - DELHI
Drive to Chandigarh and take flight to Delhi.

Day 14 : DELHI
Depart for your way back home in early morning.
