Day 01: ARRIVAL AT CHENNAI
On the first day of South India cultural tour, you arrive at the international airport in Chennai where our representative receives you and can assist you in taking you to the hotel. After getting refreshed, you can see some popular landmarks of Chennai, such as St. Mary Church and Fort Museum. Chennai is the capital of Tamil Nadu and is one of perfect destinations for viewing the cultural heritage. At night, you can have a hearty dinner in hotel. Stay in hotel overnight. ![]()
Day 02 : CHENNAI- MAHABALIPURAM
On this day, we drive to Mahabalipuram from Chennai. This is a seventh century city of South India. Shore Temple and Arjuna’s penance (world’s largest bas-relief) are the major attractions at Mahabalipuram. Some wonderful monuments of 7th and 8th century are found in Mahabalipuram. Buddhist and Dravidian architecture has been used in making these temples. At night, you stay at hotel in Mahabalipuram.
Day 03 : MAHABALIPURAM - TANJORE
Tanjore is known as “Rice Bowl of Tamil Nadu” and you can watch the glimpse of wonderful Brihadeshwara Temple. This temple is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Excellent Chola Fresco paintings on the walls of the temple enhance its beauty. On the other hand, wonderful handicrafts such as Art Plate, Thanjavur paintings, pithwork, bronze icons, and classical South Indian musical instruments can also be seen in Tanjore which enhance the significance of the city in terms of cultural heritage. Stay overnight at hotel.
Day 04 : TANJORE-TRICHY
From Tanjore, we proceed to Trichy on the fourth day. Srirangam Temple and Ranganathswamy Temple are the major attractions of this city. In addition, Rock Fort, St. John’s Church, Natharvalli Dargah, a museum and there are several other monuments which enhance the importance of Trichy. Due to the availability of Hindu temples, churches of Christians and dargah of Muslims, it will not be wrong to say that Trichy is a multi-cultural destination. Stay overnight at hotel in Trichy.
Day 05-06 : TRICHY- MADURAI
If you have missed some part of Trichy on the fourth day, then it can be completed on the fifth day. Thereafter, we take you to Madurai where you spend two day. Meenakshi Amman Temple, dedicated to Lord Sundareswara, an incarnation of Lord Shiva, and his consort Goddess Meenakshi Amman is major place to see in Madurai. Thirumalai Nayak Palace which is a seventeenth century palace that consists of multitude of white pillars, stone carvings, vast courtyards and a golden dome is also available in Madurai. Vandiyur Mariamman Teppakulam is another best representation of cultural heritage of Madurai. It is stands of nucleus of tank in which water comes from River Vaigai. Stay overnight at hotel in Madurai on both fifth and sixth days. ![]()
Day 07 : MADURAI- CHENNAI- DEPARTURE
After this wonderful South India Culture Tour, now there is a time to go to sweet home. But, you don’t go empty-handed to your home country. No, we are not talking about the shopping which you will do during your South India Culture Tour. We are referring to the sweet memories that you will acquire from this South Indian Culture trip. So, on seventh day, you depart back to Chennai and are transferred to the international airport, from where you start your journey to your abode.
