Day 01: Arrival at Chennai

Day 02 :
Chennai – Mahabalipuram
After having the breakfast in the morning, your tour to Chennai begins. St. Mary Church and Fort Museum are the major attractions in this city which you can see. Later on, we drive to Mahabalipuram which is a 7th century city of port. Stunning monuments of 7th and 8th century can be witnessed in which you can see the sample of Dravidian and Buddhist architectures. Stay overnight at your luxurious hotel.

Day 03 : Mahabalipuram – Kanchipuram – Mahabalipuram
Your third day South Indian temples trip starts from gazing the temples of Mahabalipuram. Shore Temple, which is one of the oldest temples of South India, and Arjuna's Penance, which is world's largest bas-relief, can be seen at first. Thereafter, you see the monolithic temples which are posed as chariots. After visiting these places, we go for a little journey towards Kanchipuram which is believed among one of the seven sacred cities in the nation. There is a lot to see here, but the major temples which you witness include Kailasanatha Temple, Ekambaranatha (temple dedicated to Lord Shiva) and Kamakshi Amman Temple. After visiting all these historical temples and some other places we return to Mahabalipuram where you stay in hotel overnight.

Day 04 :
Mahabalipuram – Tanjore
On the fourth day, we take you to Tanjore which is dubbed as 'Rice Bowl of Tamil Nadu'. Several artistic works and handicrafts can be seen in Tanjore. Brihadeshwara Temple is a popular temple to be visited here, which was built by Rajaraja Chola, and has been declared as UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is wonderful instance of Dravidian style temples also. You spend your night in hotel in Tanjore.

Day 05 - 06 : Tanjore – Trichy – Madurai
On sixth day, you go for sightseeing in Madurai with us. Meenakshi Sundereshwar is the temple which you visit on the sixth day. At night, you stay at hotel in Madurai. On the seventh day, your day is reserved for visiting Periyar which is set on an attractive lakeside. Wonderful wildlife can be seen Periyar which includes wild boar, monkey, elephants, tigers, leopards, elephants, bison and more. Stay overnight at hotel in Periyar.

Day 07 :
Madurai – Periyar
After this wonderful South India cultural trip, now there is a time to go to sweet home. But, you don’t go empty-handed to your home country. No, we are not talking about the shopping which you will do during your trip. We are referring to the sweet memories that you will acquire from this trip. Day 08 : Kumarakom
At the time of sun rise we take you to the boat ride and you can see Lake Periyar and wildlife sanctuary. Later on we drive to Kumarakom. Kumarakom is also popular for its wildlife sanctuary. But, the backwaters of this place are the major attractions. Huge Vembanad Lake is another wonderful site in Kumarakom. Stay in hotel in Kumarakom at night.

Day 07 :
Kumarakom – Alleppey
On the ninth day, first you watch the bird sanctuary of Kumarakom. This bird sanctuary boasts of various species of birds, such as night herons, egrets, Siberian storks etc. Thereafter, you catch the houseboat on backwater. You can cruise around the astonishing backwaters from Kumarakom to Alleppey and can get the glimpse of the lifestyle of people of local villages. You stay overnight at houseboat.

Day 10 : Alleppey – Cochin
On tenth day, we drive to Cochin which is known as the commercial capital of Kerala. Cochin consists of a multi-cultural society where you can see the good blend of different cultures. It also has one of the finest natural harbors of the world which you can see during your South India temple tour. In the night, you can have the delicious dinner in the hotel. Stay in hotel at night in Cochin.

Day 11 & 12 :
Cochin – Departure
Cochin is the place where most of the Indian Jews reside. So, you can first visit the Jew Town and Jewish Synagogue. Spice market is another attraction to be visited in Cochin. Chinese fishing nets of Cochin are unique. Stay in hotel at night in Cochin. Then the day comes when you have to go to your home with sweet memories of this South Indian temples trip.
