Coming down the hill is the largest Nandi Bull in the country. Towering at a massive 5 meters, carved from a single rock in 1659 this sculpture is really a must-see.
Brindavan Gardens - Brindavan Gardens is 19 km northwest of Mysore is the KRS Dam and the ornamental Brindavan Gardens. The musical fountains and colorful lights transform this palace into fairyland in the evenings.
Mysore Zoo - The Mysore Zoo is said to be among the best-maintained zoo in India. In the mornings the tigers are let out of their cages to roam in the comparatively more natural habitat of the enclosure. Houses some rare animals bred in captivity and exotic species of plants.
Climate Mysore has a moderate climate. Summer day temperatures average at 30? C though some days. Winter is extremely comfortable, with day temperatures for December averaging 27? C. Mysore gets an average 86 centimetres of rain annually, most of it during the monsoon, which lasts from June to October. As such Mysore enjoys the pleasant weather but in summers the city too become hot and humid. The best time to visit the city is during Dussehra Festival in October-November.
