4 days tour from Marrakech to Fes is one of the best Marrakech desert tours organized by our company. We recommend this tour as there is so much to see and do besides camel trekking and desert camping in Merzouga desert camp. 4 days are enough to explore the Sahara Desert and get to Fes. Drink a cup of tea, enjoy Erg Chebbi dunes, meet nomads living in caves, and explore one of the biggest cinema studios in the world.
Also, you will hike in the Todra gorges, Dades valley, and take pictures of wild monkeys in the cedar forest of Azrou. Our desert tour offers you that and more.
You will start your 4 Days Tour from Marrakech to Fes in Marrakech in the morning. Our driver will meet you at 8 am. just near your hotel and you drive to Ait Benhaddou via the High Atlas Mountains. You will cross Tizi N'Tichka pass where you will stop to take pictures before you move to Ait Benhaddou.
You will have multiple stops along the way to reach Ait Benhaddou before launch. Then, you will visit Ait Ben Haddou. You will explore the Kasbah which has been named by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The kasbah is a favorite spot for Hollywood filmmakers and more than 20 international films have been shot there.
After visiting Ait Ben Haddou, you will head to Ouarzazate, a city called Hollywood of Africa. You will visit Atlas Studio and some other Kasbahs before heading to the Dades Valley. You will be impressed by the Berber villages on the route.
The journey will be enchanting as your guide will tell you everything you needed about the attractions on the way.
On the second day, you start your desert tour after breakfast. You will head over the Dades gorges crossing the colorful Berber villages of the Dades valley. You cannot imagine how beautiful the 1000 kasbahs scattered around are. Once arrived in Tinghir, with its magnificent palm grove, you will be amazed by the traditional Berber architecture.
Before arriving at Erg Chebbi, you will follow the large canyons of the Todra Gorges, a privileged place for climbers. Then you will pass through Erfoud and Rissani where you will stop for lunch.
Later, you drive towards Merzouga and you will get there at 17:20 p.m. You will enjoy your first night in a traditional hotel that reflects the unique taste of Berber architecture.
The adventure of the second day ends here, but your 4 Days Tour from Marrakech to Fes will continue tomorrow.
On the third day, you will explore the Merzouga region. First, you will visit the village of Khamlia, a village populated by Gnawa who are originally slaves from Sudan brought to Morocco during the slavery's era. They have since then lived in Khamlia and they have a special culture often tied to music.
It will be a nice experience to visit them and see how they live. They will teach you a different perspective of living lifestyle and you may play some music and dance too.
Right next to the village of Khamlia, you can go see Merzouga Lake with its flamingos. Then, you will visit nomadic families who still live in tents as well as visiting some places where you can find some unique Berber handicrafts.
In the afternoon, you will trek camels to fit deep in the desert where your camps are located. The camel guide will take you for almost 1-hour ride and you will be welcomed by a cup of tea once arrived.
Later, you have a traditional dinner and you party with Berbers.
On the last day of your 4 Days tour from Marrakech to Fes, you wake up early to admire the beautiful scenery of the sunrise. Then you will have breakfast at your camp before you ride camels again the get out of the desert dunes.
You meet your driver at the hotel and you leave Merzouga towards Fes. You cross Erfoud and Errachidia along the magnificent Ziz gorges. Then, you cross volcanic rock and the Tizi Ntalghamt pass to reach Midelt.
In this trip, you will discover how amazing Morocco is. Its diverse geography will impress you.
You will stop at Zaida for a barbecue and refresh yourself with a glass of tea. Then you continue your journey to Azrou, a Berber village in the Middle Atlas mountains. There you will stop to see barbarian monkeys in the famous cedar forest. You will feed them and take pictures before you head to Ifrane, or what they call "the Switzerland of Morocco". You stop there to take photos and then you leave to Fes.
At almost 18:00, you will get into Fes, your driver will drop you off at your hotel and it will be the end of our service.
