Itinerary

Day 1 Exploring Lake Bogoria

In the first day of your 6 days Kenya Safari, you will leave for Lake Bogoria. Its a 5 hours drive from Nairobi. Arriving there, you head out to explore this amazing lake. Lake Bogoria is a saline, alkaline lake in the Kenyan Rift Valley. The lake is approximately 100 kilometers (62 miles) long and 30 kilometers (19 miles) wide, with a depth of three meters (9.8 feet). The lake is also home to several species of fish, including the Tilapia grahami. Bogoria was designated a Ramsar site in November 2001. The lake is part of Lake Bogoria National Reserve, which was established in November 1973. It is one of the most unique ecosystems on the planet. The lake is home to thousands of flamingos, as well as a variety of other wildlife. buffalo, hyena, klipspringer, impala, dik-dik, zebra, warthog and Grant's gazelle all call the eastern shore of the lake home. The lake is also home to greater kudu, which can be found just about anywhere on the lake. The diversity of wildlife at Lake Bogoria is truly astounding. The flamingos that flock to the western shore are one of the most curious aspects of this ecosystem. The shallows on the western shore are home to hot springs that flow into the lake. The flamingos seem to be immune to the heat, and they flock to this area in great numbers. The Bogoria fish eagles have adapted to their environment by preying on flamingos. Dinner and overnight at the lodges.

Day 2 Witnessing the Wildlife at Lake Nakuru National Park

After your breakfast, you will travel towards the Lake Nakuru National Park. Its almost a 3 hours drive to the park. Arriving there, you will be astonished by the beauty of wildlife at the park. Lake Nakuru National Park is also home to a number of wildlife species. It is located in The Great Rift Valley. The park is home to more than 50 mammal species, including lions, leopards, rhinos, and buffalos. The park also has a large population of plains game. Lake Nakuru is one of the world's most iconic lakes. Known for its flamingos, this alkaline lake is home to over 40 black and 60 white rhinos. The dense population of flamingos creates a beautiful pink band around the shoreline. You arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive. If you like to see the wildlife up close, you are in the right place. With your private guide, you will spend the afternoon enjoying safari drives, nature walks, and birdwatching. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 3 The Iconic Masai Mara Park

After your breakfast, you will continue your Kenya Safari towards the most awaited location of this 6 days trip, the Masai Mara Park. Its almost a 5 hours drive to get there. You will arrive in the afternoon. You can choose to have rest for the remaining day or go for an afternoon Games Drive. The Mara is renowned for its annual wildebeest migration, when hundreds of thousands of animals travel north from the Serengeti in search of greener pastures. This massive movement of animals is an unforgettable sight, and it's one of the reasons why the Mara is such a popular safari destination. In addition to the wildebeest, the Mara is also home to a large population of zebras, which can often be seen grazing alongside their striped cousins. Other common residents include giraffes, antelopes, and lions. With its abundance of wildlife, the Mara offers a truly unique safari experience. You will have the chance to witness all these animals at the park. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 4 Game Drives at the Masai Mara Park

After your breakfast, you will set out to explore the wildlife at the park. The Masai Mara Reserve is one of the most popular safari destinations in Africa, and for a good reason. The reserve is home to a large variety of wildlife, including the Big Five: lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants, and buffalo. In addition, the reserve is well known for its black-manned lions, which are a sight to behold. During our full day game drive, we will have the opportunity to see all of this amazing wildlife up close. We will also have the chance to enjoy a packed lunch while we take in the stunning views of the reserve. This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience that you won't want to miss! At first glance, the Kenyan Serengeti seems like a desolate place. But upon further exploration, one finds that it is teeming with life. The hot sun beats down mercilessly, but there is always a cheetah or two seeking shelter from the heat under a vehicle. After a whole day in the wild, you need a good rest. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 5 Discovering local culture at the Masai Village

After your breakfast, you will visit the Masai Village and experience their culture. Welcome to the Masai village! The Masai people are a nomadic tribe that lives in southern Kenya and northern Tanzania. They are known for their elaborate beadwork, traditional clothing, and warrior culture. The Masai village is made up of several small huts, called manyattas. Each hut is home to a family, and the huts are grouped together in clusters. The village is surrounded by a fence made of thorny branches, which keeps out predators and hostile tribes. The Masai people are known for their traditional clothing, which includes brightly coloured fabrics and beaded jewellery. The men wear red cloaks and carry spears, while the women wear colourful skirts and beaded necklaces. The Masai village is a fascinating place to visit. You can learn about the Masai culture, see their traditional clothing and beadwork, and even watch them herd their cattle. After the visit, you will go for another afternoon game drive at the Maasai Mara Park. The name "Mara" comes from the Maasai people, who live in the area. The reserve is located in the southwest of the country and covers an area of 1,510 square kilometers. It is known for its large population of lions, leopards and elephants. There are also many other animals, including giraffes, zebras, buffalo and hippos. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 6 Day 6: End of 6 days Kenya Safari

You will wake up early in the morning and take your breakfast. Then, you will go for another morning game drive at the park. After this, its now finally the time to depart for Nairobi. You will pack your bags and hit the road towards Nairobi.

We have been on a couple of cycling trips before and this one was probably the best. Tri our guide was outstanding and all our fellow cyclists were a great bunch of people. We got a real flavour of life in Vietnam. Lots of interesting food. The meals were good and plentiful. Thought we would lose weight but didn't! Good Hotels. Many highlights but a couple or so to point out,Whale Island and Hoi An, the 30km exhilarating downhill ride and cycling in city centre traffic...... great fun but leaves your heart racing. It is quite full on which leaves you wanting to spend more time in some of the places visited. The usual pattern is arrive at 5 - 6 pm, leave at 7.15 next morning. However we did find time to swim in the hotel pools. Overnight train was great fun ....all part of the adventure. To cover the length of the country there are some longish times in the bus but the bus was comfortable but great chance to talk with your fellow travellers. This also gives you time to see more of the country and people watch. Staggered us how much could be piled on a scooter! The bikes were ideal for the road conditions as well as being clean and very well maintained. At the frequent refreshment/rest stops there was lots of juice, water, fruit, nuts and biscuits. The driver and bike mechanic were very friendly and very competent. Great organization, things happened when Tri said they would

Lifelong memories

We were part of a group of 17 who quickly formed a close bond created entirely by the enthusiasm and generosity of our leader. Nothing was too much trouble Long went out of his way every day to make sure we experienced in full life in Vietnam. The trip ran like clockwork, without us feeling we were being rushed at any stage. He made it fun even when we cycled 100 k in a day taking in a very high mountain pass.

The customer service before departure was excellent, the organisation from start to finish was excellent, the accommodation was better than expected, the group leader was excellent, the itinerary was excellent. As a solo female traveller I felt completely comfortable with the rest of the group whether they were traveling alone, with friends or with partners. The mix of activities, geographical locations, sights, sounds, terrain and communities left you feeling like you had experienced and encountered Vietnam, its history, its people and its landscape.
